and another one bites the dust
Okay, so pop music culture references aren't my forte. I thought I would post here and tell you about my live journal,
tarynbthorne. It's so new I don't know how to link to it yet, but it'll be there. Soon. I'm about 47,000 words
in on Nano with tonite and tomorrow to go. It's not coming together as well as I'd hoped. There are some major plot
weaknesses in the end that I've got to shore up somehow. Just not in November, apparently. I've only got to get it
finished and uploaded. Here's hoping the site won't crash tomorrow after I cross the finish line.

To my fan of one...
Thanks Tez.
So, got a few tidbits for you. 1) Had my editor (is it sad that I love to say that?) email a few requests
in regard to Even for Me. Cover requests, blurbs, and so forth. Got that done and off to her, at least if cyberspace
hasn't eaten it. 2)I am 34,000 words into the sequel and had about half a dozen other story ideas pop into my head while
writing. Which drives me nuts, but that's what notebooks are for. The title is, tentatively, 'When All Else Fails'.
I can't even tell you much now because I need to be careful of spoilers. But if you've read the blog long enough,
you probably have a few already when I wasn't so careful. WAEF is a royal mess so far. I've got scenes in the
wrong places, totally new characters pop up, whole subplots appear that I hadn't planned on and things are clunky as hell.
But it's a first draft, so that's okay. Actually, it's what usually happens with my first drafts. I ended up putting the
entire first draft of Even on the scrap pile and just used it to re-outline what I had to do. Then I wrote like a madwoman
for a month and submitted. 3)I am totally blocked about my bio. I have to do one for the Samhain pages and I want to
have a better one for here. But I don't like to write about myself so much and either put in too much or too little. It's
embarrassing. I hate it. I'm dragging my heels on that one. Anyway, should get back to writing. On the weekends
I crash and sleep most of the day if I can, and write at night. I'm a total night-owl by nature.
And I have
discovered chocolate covered espresso beans! 4am, here I come!
Happy Nano-ing!

Nuclear Weekend!
What does this mean, is the world ending? No, I just wrote about 16,000 words over the weekend. My fingers aren't tired,
but my brain is a little slow.
I've had lots of fun with Aislyn in this little romp. She and Rodriguez have a few
issues to work out and poor Jackson, well, let's just say he finally gets what's coming to him.
I
love writing. The only problem is there never seems to be enough time to do it. But it's important, so you just have to
make time, right Taryn? Right. I'm glad I don't have anyone to tick off but my cat during Nano time.

Ahhh, refreshing
So tonight was the last night of the second job. Money shall be tight, but when is it not? I will need to do some more walking
rather than cabs and that will be cold, but I'll lose weight in there too, so it' not all bad. I will have more time
to write and get my duties as local ML here in the north done up too. That is something I am looking forward to.
Well, off to do laundry so I have clothes for the morning hurrah. Just a parting thought for those of you stuck with your
writing, a prompt if you will, that my writer's group has chosen for next time...
That homeless guy is
staring at you.
