A-Z Day Three – C

Today’s word is Chicanery…

chi·can·er·y

/SHiˈkānərē/

Noun
The use of trickery to achieve a political, financial, or legal purpose.

My love of words seeped into my vocabulary when I was young. This was one of them. It was yet another reason teenagers in my school bullied me, but I refused to stop my word collection.

Do you love the feel of words in you mouth? The way your tongue has to tangle itself up in certain ways to perform the manoeuvers necessary for the magic spell of the words to work?

Chicanery. Try it. Taste it. The kids got into chicanery again.

  1. It sounds amazing rolling from the tongue. A word I had never known, and I am a fellow lover of words.

Like the theme of a word and character names! Very nicely executed! I look forward to learning some new goodies from you. 🙂
